A personal hobby of mine over the past couple years has been the practice of collecting and pressing flowers (usually cut flowers, from bouquets). More recently, I have been finding new creative outputs for my pressed/dried flower collection. What follows is a gallery of my pressed flower creations to-date.

My cover design for the Spring 2020 issue of the iJournal, (our faculty's student academic journal) using real dried/pressed flowers from my personal collection. My artist statement, also published in this issue, goes into detail about my process for pressing, arranging, photographing, editing and kerning this floral typeface, as well as some reflections about how this project meets at the intersections of my interests in botanical specimens/herbaria and typography/printing.
